What’s Up at Walla: Payroll Features for More Staff and Studio Insights

Here are the most recent Walla software functionality and product updates!

Powerful payroll capabilities? That’s one way to have an all-encompassing view of how and when you’re paying your staff—and give you a more informed hold of overall studio operations.

Here are a few of our latest feature and functionality additions to help you further streamline and simplify studio operations, especially when you need instant paystub-related insights:

Roles, reporting, payroll, and pay stub features to make your studio operations easier!

You asked—and we answered. So what’s new?

  • Sensitive Info
    - Under individual staff profiles, the Employee Info tab has been renamed to Sensitive Info
  • Roles and Compensation Table—located in the Sensitive Info tab
    - See role, amount, effective date, and inactive roles (if applicable)
    - Option to add a new role from this table, including name, rate type, dollar amount, and effective date, with the ability to clock in from this view
    - Create multiple staff roles with different rates to give staff options
  • Specific role/rate clock-in ability
    - Staff who have multiple roles can choose which role and rate they would like to select to clock in
  • Staff pay stub
    - With a new tab under Staff Profile, your employees can view and download their individual paystubs and filter by pay periods (this is not editable)
  • Paystub access
    - Located under Business Settings -> Staff Permissions, you can have access to your pay stubs, but others can’t for privacy reasons (unless they have specific Business Manager permissions)
  • Payroll reporting
    - Edit time, place, and role—but not someone else’s notes (notes will be denoted by an icon)

A few other features for this release:

  • Easily export contact information: Located under your Business Settings, a new permission under Contacts allows you to export contacts.
  • Custom primary class categories: When updating or adding a class in Walla, you can create and assign a custom primary category within all locations of your studio (and it’s listed in the widget and app for your clients!).
  • Determine plan usage: A new setting you choose if clients can use plans at either all studio locations or specific studio locations—the choice is yours!
